I'm going to do these little mini rants every once in a while in between main articles. From now on they'll be referred to as For The Record. (I'd think of a funnier title but I'm too tired.)
This edition of FTR is about the 15th Season of the Real World. And in particular, Karamo. First let me tell you I hate myself for having allowed myself to get caught up in this show. I can honestly say I've never watched any prior season of the reality show. For some reason I caught the initial episode, and in conjunction with my chronic boredom, began watching the show every week. So yes, I wish I could kick my own ass for taking part in such a stupid show. (Sigh.)
So, Karamo...If you don't watch the show, Karamo is the token black guy on the show. And much like the infamous black guy from (I think) Seattle, he is F-ing nuts. This dude is just crazy. He claims he's from the ghetto and that he's borderline racist. His reason for being almost racist is that his father undereducated him with bad literature when he was a kid and that the people who fought against integration in the 40's and 50's are still alive today...and are possibly the four other white roommates' parents.
Ok, um...no? Most people from those days that were racist are 80-dead now. So already he's an idiot. But after he was confronted by police at a bar, he blew up at his roommate M.J. for not having his back. To be fair, M.J. tried to "have his back" but the cops pushed him back. So then Karamo basically got all tough saying he can't trust M.J. and that karma's a bitch and all this mumbo jumbo. Did I mention Karamo's gay? Not that there's anything wrong with that. I just find it amusing he plays off as this "hardass from the streets", who by the way talks like he thinks he's some sort of articulate psychologist. He tries to "acks" M.J. a question.
This dude is a joke. As much as he's trying not to be the crazy black guy on Real World, he's being the crazy black guy on Real World. Personally, I don't know how M.J. hasn't punch this dude out yet. He has the patience of a saint and I think it'd be in Karamo's best interest to get an attitude adjustment or he's going to get a facial adjustment. Maybe I should make this easier for him to understand: Boy, ya betta rekanoz and acks somebody, ya hear?
