Here I aamm! Rock you like a hurricaaaannee!
Oh wow, I'm awful. First up though, I promise I'll have the London Retrospective for you. But not for a week. I wanted to do a quick write up on Katrina and the Over/Under is due tomorrow. So I'll give you your tea and scrumpets next week.
So how about this storm huh? Pretty crazy time if you live down there in the bayou. My question is this though: what about the gators and crocs? Surely with all that water taking over Nawlins the crocs have got to make a break for civilization right? Seriously, what's from stopping these sumbitches from just swimming by and have a little din din?
We see on CNN all these people just floating down the streets on rafts and buckets and walking waist deep in the filthy water. I'm waiting for someone to just go under during one of those helicopter live shots. I figure the anchor would say something like this:
Anchor: So as you can see the water level is still very high and people are just wading throu....oh my, I don't know what just hap...is that? Yes, oh my god. It appears that an alligator has just swallowed a child. Oh the horror! It's devouring it and his Care Bares floaty raft all at once. My god this is horrifying...
Serves those f#%kers right for staying there. If they were smart they would have evacuated like everyone else. I don't get the people who stayed. For what purpose would someone stay when they know there's a category 5 hurricane barreling down on them? It boggles the mind. We could be saving so much time and money if everyone had just gotten out of there. Now these assclowns are panicking and begging for help as they're airlifted out of their houses. And the ones that managed to escape on their own are now looting stores and robbing banks. Some people are just retarded.
I guess we had to know this kind of disaster would happen at some point though. The freakin' city is like 15 feet below sea level. Something was bound to drown that town eventually.
Speaking of being drowned, Taiwan is about to get F'ed by a giant typhoon. I'm not kidding. Thursday morning it's going to hit with the same force as Katrina. Thursday morning for them that is. Which means right about now as I'm writing this.
Eddie Vedder said it in 1998:
i crawled the earth
but now i'm higher
twenty ten, watch it go to fire
it's evolution baby...
And don't think the depletion of the Ozone layer has nothing to do with this. It most certainly does. How's that hybrid car sounding about now?
